Curriculum
Four levels.
A deeper capability at each step.
AI Creator → App Builder → AI Developer → AI Product Builder. Innovation and human judgement run through the complete pathway.
LEVEL 01 · From user to creator
AI Creator
Learning focus
- Problem discovery, users, value and a useful first version
- Requirements, scope, wireframes and clear AI instructions
- Screen experience, app behaviour, rules and state
- Testing, debugging, controlled changes and reflection
Evidence to work towards
- A bounded working app or supported build
- Expected-versus-actual test notes
- A decision and an improvement you can explain
- Fresh-case work, with assistance recorded
LEVEL 02 · From first version to connected app
App Builder
Learning focus
- Components, frontend and backend relationships
- Data, persistence and API connections
- User authentication and appropriate access
- Responsive, mobile and desktop application scope
- Deployment, failure handling and testing
Evidence to work towards
- A structured connected application
- Evidence that data and relevant access rules behave correctly
- Appropriate API and deployment checks
- An explanation of the application’s important parts
LEVEL 03 · From app to AI-powered system
AI Developer
Learning focus
- Language models, AI APIs and structured outputs
- Knowledge retrieval and RAG applications
- Automation, tool use, workflows and agents
- Task-specific evaluation, safety and cost awareness
Evidence to work towards
- A defined task with permitted data and actions
- An inspectable workflow or agent trace
- Examples of successful, incorrect and uncertain results
- A reasoned explanation of the chosen approach
LEVEL 04 · From system to useful product
AI Product Builder
Learning focus
- SaaS and product architecture
- Privacy, security and user management
- Reliability, monitoring and recovery
- Performance, scaling and operating costs
- Product validation and user feedback
Evidence to work towards
- A bounded product or pilot with an end-to-end flow
- Relevant access, reliability and recovery evidence
- Observed user feedback and a changed decision
- Known limits and a responsible next iteration
Where the first four volumes fit.
| Learning resource | Scope | Programme position |
|---|---|---|
| Volumes 1–2 | Expanded problem, creation, AI direction, design and behaviour foundations. | First 90 programme days, together. Published lesson labels: Weeks 1–12. |
| Volume 3 | A bounded connected app, information protection and evidence. | Days 91–135. |
| Volume 4 | Capstone, improvement, transfer and Level 1 handover. | Days 136–180. |
Programme days are planning allocations, not a count of live classes. The early deep foundation is not the whole of Level 1. Volumes 3–4 are next releases, not current admission guarantees.
Progress through capability.
A complete beginner starts at Level 1. A learner with equivalent experience can discuss placement into a later level through evidence of the required foundations.
At every level, Foundation, Creator and Advanced Creator describe practice depth. They are not substitute level names, automatic qualifications or shortcuts around prerequisites.
